On Friday the 13th of this month, thanks to Beacon Holidays-Australia, I experienced Taste of Melbourne for the first time!
I attended the 5.30 evening session purchased my $200 worth of crown (the currency used to purchase food and drink inside basically 1 crown =$1)
I ate mini dishes from iconic Melbourne restaurants, such as Mamsita, Pastuso, Royal Mail Hotel, Movida and San Telmo. I drank teas ,cocktails and coffees, made my own chai mix in the Flavours of India Tent and basically sampled for 4hrs…
It was such a great night I’m returned on Sunday to share the experience with my family and do some shopping!
Enjoy xx
Fist stop was the Zagame Automotive Audi tent for games and drinks…
Enjoying the cute cafe set up in the Milk the Cow tent
Pulled pork and Chicken tortillas at Mr Mexico
Then to Mamasita for the Pork and pineapple Al Pastor Taquitos for 10 crown and of course a smokey margarita to match!
Free ice creams at the Maggie Beer tent……Choclate and Salted caramel, Affogato, Rich Vanilla Bean and Burnt Fig Honeycomb and Caramel….hello!
Delicious samples at the Schoko stall
Best meat dish for me was Royal Mail Hotel, Knuckle Sandwich with mustard slaw, salty crispy and tender 10 crowns
All fun and games in the chill tent of Smooth Fm 91.5 with its tall chocolate fountain waiting for you to dip marshmallows
Always lots of barbecue action
This dish was delicious. Icon dish for Pastuso Costilla De Res, 8 hr slow cooked beef rib with sweet corn puree and marrow was definitely a yummy 12 crown. I preferred this over the Cerdo
Loved these party ready drinks by Mister Mixer! My favourite was the Passionfruit Caprioska… so good!
Yummy tea samples at Your Tea – Nourish & Revitalise stand.
The Melbourne, Australia sky was showing off all night with its ever changing moods .
and thats a wrap! see you again Sunday Taste of Melbourne, Albert Park xx .
